Empowered Parenthood Australia was born from a deep calling and urgency to bring Christ back to the center of pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

Our founder and director, Nina Samuel, is a born-again believer, wife to her high-school sweetheart Abraham, and mum to two beautiful children, Eliana and Ezra. Nina is a Registered Nurse, Certified Childbirth Educator, and Doula. She is passionate about God’s divine design for the human body, especially the profound miracle of pregnancy and birth.

Nina received two dreams that showed God’s glory needed to return to the childbirth space in Australia! She continued to feel a stirring in her heart to walk alongside expecting couples in a way that had never been done before in our nation — with Jesus at the very center. Through the joys and challenges of her own motherhood journey, Holy Spirit drew her attention to 2 Corinthians 1:4 — “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others”, and so in obedience she pursued further studies as a childbirth educator.

Nina’s vision is to see couples approach childbirth not with fear, but with faith, confidence, and joy, knowing that because of Jesus’ victory on the cross, parents too can walk in victory.

What officially began in September 2024 as Wonderfully Motherhood — inspired by Psalm 139:14 — has now, by God’s leading, grown into Empowered Parenthood Australia: a registered not-for-profit organisation pioneering faith-based birth education to empower parents, strengthen families, and glorify God across our nation like never before.
